Voting System & Equipment

In compliance with the Help America Vote Act of 2002, Walton County uses a blended voting system in each polling place consisting of an AccuVote-OS (Optical Scan) vote tabulator and an AccuVote-TSX (Touch Screen) vote tabulator. It is the voter’s choice as to which tabulator to use to cast his or her ballot. Both the AccuVote-OS and AccuVote-TSX units have undergone rigorous testing by independent testing laboratories and by the Florida Department of State, Division of Elections and have been found to satisfy the state’s certification and acceptance requirements. Both types of tabulators provide a verifiable audit trail and audit log account for every activity performed during an election on the units.  For more details, follow the links below:
