Each Walgreens
store will have voter registration application forms at
the check-out and prescription counters. Voters will
have the opportunity to pick up an application, fill it
out at home and mail it back to our office.
"With
nearly 700 convenient locations throughout the state,
offering voter registration at Walgreens is a good way
to serve both our customers and the state of Florida,"
said Brad Wasson, Walgreens vice president of store
operations. "We hope this program will result in many
more state residents becoming actively engaged in the
democratic process."
In
accordance with F.S. 101.655, the Walton County
Elections office visits assisted living facilities and
nursing homes where Walton County residents are located
to assist with the absentee ballot process. This
is done in cooperation with the administrator of the
facility.
