Initiative petitions are one way to propose an amendment to the Florida constitution.  The Walton County Elections office has an important role in the initiative petition process.  Initiative petitions are submitted to our office and the signatures on those petitions are verified through the signatures on voter registration applications.  The Florida Division of Elections has complete guidelines for the initiative petition process which can be found at the following link:
