Freeport Election: June 15, 8 am - June 18, 4:30 PM

Federal & Judicial Office: April 26, noon - April 30, noon

State, Multi-County, County, & District: June 14, noon - June 18, noon

 

Federal & Judicial Petitions Due: March 29, noon

State, Multi-County, County, & District Petitions Due: May 17, noon

 

Pre-File Forms

[Candidates may pre-file anytime before Qualifying Dates]

 

DS-DE 9 - Appointment of Campaign Treasurer and Designation of Campaign Depository 

Must be filed before contributions and expenditures are made and before petitions are gathered.

 

DS-DE 83 or DS-DE 84 - Statement of Candidate

Must be filed within (10) days after filing Form DS-DE 9.  (DS-DE 83 is for Judicial Candidates)

Special District Qualifying Procedures

 

Certified Petition Signatures or Qualifying Fee

Certified Petition Signatures:  DS-DE 104  (See due dates above)

1% of registered voters of that district = (368) valid petitions required for county offices

Special Districts require (25) valid petitions.

All Petitions are verified at 10 cents/each.

 

Qualifying Fee:     Filing Fee = 3% of the 2009 Salary

Party Assessment - Partisan Candidates = 2% of the 2009 Salary

Election Assessment = 1% of the 2009 Salary

Special Districts = $25 or 25 petitions

  

Filing Officer

The filing officer is the person before whom a candidate qualifies:
